What are commissions and how do they work?Commissions are orders for custom artwork where a client pays an artist to create a special design for them!
After I, the artist, accept the order and receive the initial 50% payment, the client must send me their idea and reference images to begin the work.
Once that's done, I'll start drawing as soon as possible and send you 3 sketchs for you, the client, to evaluate. I will only continue with one of the sketchs that you approve.
I will keep you updated on the entire process and request approval to continue each step. You can also ask me to make changes or correct errors when necessary so don't be ashamed to ask for any changes!
Well, just like everything in life, commissions also have rules and deadlines that must be followed for better work and protection of the art and the client. Below are all my terms and conditions.By commissioning me, you are stating that you have read and agreed to these terms:
• I as the artist, reserve the right to deny ANY commission for any reason, if I decide I can no long complete a commission, you will be refunded.•MY WORK CANNOT BE USED FOR AI GENERATORS OR NFTS.
Section I. Image Copyright
• Conditions for Reposting •
• I, the artist, retain full and exclusive rights to the original artwork. The client may not claim it as their own.• The client has my permission to repost the artwork wherever they would like, as long as proper credit is given (a link back to my socials or my @ on Intagram)•If used commercially (specifically merchandise of ANY kind) an additional x2 will be added onto the price of the commission. This will only apply to art commissions, emotes, etc used for anything sold on your end. If only used for streaming purposes/pfp/banner, it will not apply.•If I do find you use my work for commercial use without proper compensation I reserve the right to file a DMCA and/or take legal action. You will also be placed on my blacklist, and will no longer be able to commission me.
• Prohibited Actions •
•Claiming the artwork as your own;•Altering the artwork in ways that would make it unrecognizable from the original work;•using work commercially when that has not been requested/paid for;•If these terms are broken, you will be blacklisted from commissioning me in the future, as well as I, the artist, reserve the right to file a DMCA claim and/or take legal action.
Section II. Payment Information
• Refund Policy •
• If the commission is cancelled (by me or the client) before work has started, then the client will receive a full refund;•No refunds will be given for completed or nearly completed commissions.
Section III. Contact and communication
Discussion of commissions can be conducted via DMs or Discord. My Discord is "yara_br" if you need to contact me there. Once a commission is completed, I will Send the final product to the commissioner (if needed I may ask for an email to send the completed work to).
• Visual References Guidelines •
Client must provide at least one clear and concise visual reference of the character desired; please supplement the visual reference with any important information I may need to know to correctly draw the character.
If you link to a gallery of your character’s artwork, I cannot promise your design will be done with 100% accuracy. Design interpretations may be inconsistent between images and lessen my ability to accurately draw your character. Shading on potential pieces will also play a part in this. If at all possible please provide an unshaded piece of work so I can accurately represent colors.
Section IV. Will/Won't draw
Below is a general guideline for what I will or will not draw. Please keep my art style in mind when ordering; I will not try to match another artist's or company's art style (example: Disney style, Pokemon style, etc)
• Allowed Content •
• Humans;• Animals/Pets;• Mecha;• Monsters;• Furrys/Anthros;• Original Species;• Gore;• Complicated Designs/ Clothes/ background.
• Disallowed Content •
• Fetishes;• NSFW/Semi-NSFW;• Characters intended to be or appear underage in any sexual or suggestive context;• Any sort of hateful content, such as racism, transphobia, homophobia, and characters with Nazi/Soviet/etc. imagery or paraphernalia.
Section V. Workflow Process
I work best when given some artistic freedom to create an image based on the characters you provide, but if you have something specific in mind, I am more than capable to conform to your needs.If there are any delays in completion of a commission, I will personally notify the client.Completion of most commissions are generally estimated to take no more than roughly 1 to 2 weeks at the most. But that can be subject to change based on how many clients I have at the time, what's going on in my personal life, or communication issues with the client. For the fastest turn out time, please be patient with me, and try to communicate with me as much as possible. I'd rather take longer on your commission to get something that you are happy with, rather than quickly creating something nothing like what you originally wanted. If for any reason I cannot complete a commission, I will inform the client, and issue a full refund.
• Works in Progress (WIPS) •
All commission types include a sketch approval stage. I will send any wips to the commissioner if asked, or If I do anything significant to change or alter an artwork. Progress will be paused until the sketch is confirmed.
• Revisions and edits •
Any major changes or revisions must be made at the Sketch approval stage; this includes any significant changes to a character’s pose, body shape, or redrawing parts of the image.After the sketch has been approved, no major edits or changes will be made to the pose or the character. If the commissioner requests drastic changes, there will be an additional cost of $5.If I, the artist, make any errors in the character design, accessories, or any other visual elements specified in the provided visual references, I will make these edits at no additional cost.If you do not want me to post your commission online in the form of WIPS, or if you want to post the final product first for any reason, you must tell me when you order.
